To keep the subject fresh, you might choose to review the signed agreement with each of your staff members quarterly. Your employees will understand the importance of the matter better if you have them sign an agreement stating that they are aware of and understand your store policies and the Federal and Provincial tobacco legislation.You may need to refer to it at a later time.

Keep a copy of this certificate in the employee's personnel file. Some retail centers have a policy or set guidelines where it states that you and all employees must ask for valid identification from any customer requesting tobacco that looks 25 or younger.
